IBAN checker
Check the format, country length, and checksum before a bank account number reaches human review.
ISO 13616 · Mod-97 · No signup
Enter an IBAN to check its structure and checksum.
What this IBAN checker validates
The checker removes spaces and hyphens, then checks the country code and required IBAN length. It finishes with the ISO 7064 mod-97 checksum.
A valid result means the number has a valid IBAN structure. It does not confirm that the account exists, belongs to a person or company, or can receive a payment.
The country formats follow the IBAN registry published by Swift. Read the Swift IBAN standard information.
From one check to a complete file
In a finance or KYC workflow, an IBAN is one fact among many. Klarefi can collect the source document, extract the fact with a citation, run the check, and show the result to the reviewer.
