MGA software for broker submissions
An MGA runs on a handful of systems, and most of them start once the risk is in the policy system. Before that, someone reads the broker's email, the application, the loss runs, and the statement of values, and chases what is missing. Klarefi is the software for that step.
The software an MGA runs on
Policy administration
Quotes, binds, issues, and services policies. It holds the policy record.
Rating
Turns risk details into a premium, inside the policy system or in a spreadsheet.
Underwriting workbench
Brings the risk, the underwriting rules, and referrals together on one screen.
Submission intakeKlarefi
Receives broker submissions, reads the documents, and gets the file ready before an underwriter picks it up. This is where Klarefi works.
Bordereaux and reporting
Reports written business and claims to the insurer that provides the capacity.
Claims
From the first notice of loss to settlement, often with a third-party administrator.
What intake looks like with Klarefi
A broker sends a submission for a metalworking business through your intake link. The loss runs cover four years, and your requirements ask for five. Klarefi asks the broker for the missing year in the chat. The broker uploads it and explains a large water claim. Klarefi reads the new loss run and adds the claim to the case file.
Your underwriter opens a case file with every fact linked to the page it came from, the checks that passed and failed, and anything still unresolved. They decide on the risk, and the case file reaches your policy administration system through the API or a webhook.
What to look for in submission intake software
Every fact cites its source
An underwriter should see the page and quote behind each value, so a sum insured can be checked in one click.
It follows up with the broker
Missing and unclear items get asked for while the broker is submitting, in their words, and the answers land in the same file.
Your requirements, your lines
You set the facts each line of business needs and the checks they must pass. The software should not force a fixed form on your brokers.
It hands off cleanly
The finished case file reaches your policy administration system or workbench through an API or webhook, with the sources attached.
Data stays where it must
EU data residency by default, and the option to run it in your own cloud when your capacity provider asks for it.
The underwriter decides
The software prepares the case and shows what is still open. The decision on the risk stays with your team.
Try it on a submission
The free tools check an ACORD form, a loss run, or a statement of values in your browser, before anything reaches an underwriter.
Free tools for insurance submissionsGet the whole submission ready for underwriting.
The application says 32 employees at one site. The loss run shows a claim at a second site. Klarefi reads the application, the loss runs, and the statement of values together, asks the broker about the second site in a chat, and adds the answer to the case file.
Free to start. EU data residency by default.
